Seal Oil Omega-3 vs. Fish Oil Omega-3
A Closer Look at Fish Oils
Fish oils, as natural triglycerides, claim up to 30% omega-3 EPA & DHA with no or insignificant amounts of DPA. Today, fish oils have increased from the natural triglyceride (up to 30%) to astronomical omega-3, some as high as 90%. No combination of fish exists that would meet modern claims, so how are these numbers being achieved?
Modern fish oils are manufactured using chemicals to isolate the omega-3 from the rest of the oil. More chemicals are then used to increase the percentage of omega-3. This type of fish oil is an ethyl ester or “concentrate.” Some fish oils use more chemicals to re-engineer the oil to its triglyceride form. This type of fish oil is a re-engineered triglyceride.
Seal Oil: Complete, Balanced and Natural
Unlike fish oil (EPA & DHA), seal oil is similar to mother’s milk because it is a complete source of omega-3 containing all three ingredients (EPA, DHA & DPA). Seal oil omega-3 is naturally balanced and in the same proportion as found in the human body at birth, which helps improve absorption for faster results.
Seal oil is a natural triglyceride that has not been chemically altered like most modern fish oils. Seal oil is low in omega-6 to help improve the critical omega-3 / omega-6 imbalance. Seals can biofilter contaminants to yield a cleaner omega-3 oil.
